First i'd like to say that i'm sorry for the inactivity! I've been pretty distracted with drawing, games, admining pages and a bunch of other stuff. But now i'd like to find the time to discover more virtual worlds so I can keep exploring and spreading the word! Virtual Family Kingdom - which I will be referring to as VFK to save time, is a game that I first tried a few years back, but didn't stay as I didn't find much to do other than the quests. But since it is a pretty nice game which is more fun than some other games that I have reviewed, I think it deserves to be here. I tried to sign up with a new character like I usually do, but it won't let me log into it for some reason. Luckily, I remember an old login of mine so i'll log in using that. This game has quite long loading screens which is a little off-putting but the charm of game makes up for it. When you make an account, you have to wait for your name to be reviewed, so you will appear as a Guest until your name has been approved. Each time you log in, you appear inside your house. There is a small fairy which follows around as your help guide, which you communicate with by typing 411 followed by your question. VFK is pretty straightforward, using click to move, click objects to interact with them and everything you need is on the toolbar around the screen. You can customise your character with the coathanger. There are lots of hairstyles to choose from which come in various colours, as well as tops, bottoms, shoes, skin tones and faces. Apparently I made this character in 2014 so I had a lot of gift packages to open, which gave me new clothes and some furniture from Christmas and Easter. You open the map with the icon of two globes next to each other. From here, you can visit the areas (and open up the tabs to the separate maps) by walking on them. Oh, you enter anything that you come in contact with so you will need to keep clicking in a route around other areas so you don't accidentally enter one. The map is split into many different parts - The Historic ages are; Medieval age, Western Age, Colonial Age (which isn't available yet) Retro Age, Epic Ages, Victorian Age and....Australia. My favourite map is 'Splashtastic!' which you can access from Epic Ages. From Epic Ages you can access 6 more maps! So yeah, from that, there's plenty of places for you to explore. |
You can walk from area to area, but your walk speed in areas is a lot slower than on the map so sometimes it's more convenient to just walk through the map when you have somewhere you want to go. There are many shops around VFK, and unlike most games, there is actually a lot you can buy without having a membership. You can earn money by playing games and completing quests. The quests on this game are pretty nice - mainly simple tasks such as quizzes, finding places then saying a command once you're there, and so on. Some quests give 'enchantment pins' as a reward, which let you transform into animals, get fairy wings, and many more!
After doing a quest about relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety, I had enough money to buy a bikini so I can go swimming in my favourite areas! I went over to the shop in Splashtastic! to buy a bikini - I had enough for a decent one but I decided to buy the cheapest to save some money, haha. I like swimming on games, not sure why. The swimming animation is pretty fun too, you make a splash when jumo in and you bob up and down in the water as you swim.

Overall, this game is really cute. It keeps you busy with quests to unlock transformations and earn money so you can buy more clothes and furniture for your home. Like I said before, there's a lot of areas for you to explore, all of which are pretty nice! I'd recommend this game to anyone looking to pass some time or those who like virtual worlds like I do. I'm not sure it's a place to make friends though as chat is restrictive (you can only stay words that are approved) and users aren't very social. There are quite a lot of users around, but most are in shops and completing quests so aren't talking.
