This is a game that i've seen around a lot, but I thought it was just a android game - turns out it's a browser game too! So i'm here to give it a go.
When you sign up you choose between being male and female, and you can customise your character. There are a few facial options to choose from and quite a nice handful of clothing which you can pick from and customise the colours of. The colour pallet is the same as the one on Macromedia Flash 8.
After customising yourself, you seem to be on the red carpet and and a girl called 'Pixi Star' steps out of a limousine and tells you how to do activities, then she adds you as a friend and leaves. She doesn't actually look at you while she's talking, and my character looks horrified. The missions are pretty easy, and you receive money and fame for doing them.

I half expected this to be the type of game where you click on profiles and up your stats (similar to Lady Popular - which I haven't reviewed) but you can actually walk around, talk, make friends and all that. This is another game that I signed up to at the same time as my friend so we can explore it together.
You click the floor to move, and you can do a lot of actions such as sitting, throwing yourself on the floor, walking like a zombie, curling up in a ball, and a lot more - you can also buy more actions if you wish.

You have your own room - well it's called a room but it's more like a house, you have a living room, garden, kitchen and a party room. Each room can be decorated. You can buy furniture in the shops, along with clothing, and some other things.
Time to go to some actual areas! I went to the beach expecting it to just be one map, but there's a whole list of different beaches that you can go to - there's too many for me to count, and all of them have 6 player in at the least. Like a lot of the social worlds that are aimed more at teens than children, the player base is similar to those on WeeWorld - there's a lot of insults being shouted into the air for no reason. There's also a lot of players shouting things like "123 to date" and "lol to be my mommy".

Like most other games, there are membership restrictions - you need to be VIP to buy certain things, do certain things and have privileges such as being able to write in colour.
Like the last game I reviewed, there is a social media aspect to the game. You can update your status, send direct messages to your friends, share pictures, videos, etc. to your friends.
There's actually a lot to do on this game so I can see why there are so many playing it on a daily basis. You can buy many things such as clothes, make-up, hair, backgrounds, animated items and furniture to decorate your house. Oh, You can also pick from a big list of wallpapers and flooring for your rooms which is a nice alternative to wasting money on them. Also, you can design your own clothes - which is similar to Stardoll.
The creators of this game are doing a good job of advertising and maintaining their playerbase, unlike a lot of similar games out there. The players also sort of advertise the game themselves by posting videos on youtube of their character and their friends singing to songs. Speaking of which, YouTube is built into MSP so you can watch videos while you're playing.
Overall, this game is pretty time consuming and definitely something worth looking at if you want to burn some time. Something I do like about this game is that even though it's based on the social aspect, you can sit back and chill without having your character in an actual room - similar to being in Flower Power on BoomBang.
Anyway, I do recommend this game to anyone who is interested in this sort of thing, though i've got to say that the chatrooms are quite laggy, especially when you're typing. If your computer can handle the lag - or if you can cope with it - then it shouldn't be a problem but it lags quite a bit for me, and my friend got extreme lag which resulted in his game disconnecting a few times.
I'm not sure if this is the type of thing i'd spend masses of time on, but I do admit that it's an entertaining game and there is plenty to be getting on with. There are probably so many things that are in the game that I have missed out in my review since there is so much to explore, haha. Maybe i'll be back to MovieStarPlanet when i'm bored and got some time to kill.
