Literally every time I search for a new virtual world to play, 'OurWorld' seems to be suggested everywhere. Seriously. Look at any list of virtual worlds and you'll be sure to find it - it's usually in the top 5 of suggestions. Unfortunately, I find the game itself a little disappointing. With the amount of advertising of the game, you'd expect it to be a more enjoyable, really. Character creation is quite good compared to most virtual worlds out there, being able to select the height and width, style of their facial features, how big or far apart their eyes are, etc. Although i'm almost 18, I managed to get confused by this game since you're thrown into the world without a proper introduction or tutorial. But i'm starting to get the grasp of it. I think. Your character spins to look wherever your mouse is pointing, and you click on the floor to move your character around the area. It's a little strange to see that you need to be a certain level to access certain areas. I can only access 2 areas at the moment - both of which are very similar and not so interesting. But there are mini-games to play if you're up for that. You have your own condo to decorate, and you can interact with the furniture which is always something that I like to see - though it only goes as far as sitting. For some reason my condo was changed from a friendly-looking room to a gothic vampire's lair... Although i'm sure this game has active players who understand how it works, i'll safely say that I won't be moving in here any time soon. |
