Edit: This is review 36 but I can't edit the title. Oops!
A while back I reviewed a game called MyCandyLove which isn't exactly a Virtual World, but it is a online game aimed at girls. Recently I found a game very similar to MyCandyLove but with a twist.
Anticlove is similar to MyCandyLove in the fact that you are a girl attending a school, you get given energy for logging on daily and each action (talking, walking, etc.) uses energy. Unlike MyCandyLove, you don't get any customisation options at the start of the game other than your name. Most of the names I tried were taken so I decided to name girl Yelv since i've been playing a lot of Xenoblade Chronicles X recently.
After signing up you get straight into the pre-story, and get a bit of a tutorial while you do this. I say pre-story because you don't get much freedom, it eases you into the story about how you're going to a new school and you're leaving your friends and family behind. Much like MyCandyLove and other games like this, you are often given conversation options when characters talk to you. I find that the options tend to be very different.

The actual story is a little strange, if i'm honest. After you get to the new school, you start meeting other students - similar to MyCandyLove. But in Anticlove you get approached by a fortune teller who tells you something...and that's where things start getting a little strange. I won't spoil what's going on but it is different to other games like this.
Something that I don't like about this game is that it's honestly quite confusing to know where you're meant to go. When you move to the school, you get a quick tour but I had trouble remembering where everything was - you can use 20 energy points to teleport to where you need to go but since it only takes 1 point of energy to move room, you're better off wandering around until you find it.
If you wander around aimlessly for a while then an NPC named Rachel will ask if you're lost, and tell you where you need to be, but she just tells you the name of the place which isn't very useful since it tells you in the top left hand corner where you need to be.
Although it isn't available when you start, you are able to customise your girl - but it costs in-game money. I'm not sure how to earn in-game money yet, but there are minigames so maybe that's how. The clothes in the shop are okay but I personally don't like many of the hair since a lot are unusually high on the head and there are limited colour options. I ended up spending 50 in-game dollars on one hairstyle because I didn't like any of the cheaper ones.
This game is pretty text heavy so I wouldn't recommend this if you're not into reading but the story is interesting, at least. But if i'm completely honest, i'm going to say that I prefer MyCandyLove over this game, just because it's easier to navigate and you get customisation options from the start which is something that i'm a fan of. Progressing in the story is very slow since I spend the majority of my energy wandering around trying to figure out where i'm meant to be going.
Overall i'd say if you're a fan of MyCandyLove or dating sims in general then you may like this game, but it isn't the best of this type of game that i've played. I'd enjoy this more if there was a map or something so I wouldn't waste energy and maybe some customisation options in the beginning.
