I got contacted by my trashy sidekick with some links to games to review so that's what I shall be doing. The first on his list is Herotopia so i'm signing up right now to give it a go.
Once you have signed up, you get the choice of beign a girl, boy or a baby. A little strange, I think i'll stick with being a girl. You get to change your hair, skin, eyes, suit, shield, mask, and cape. Every time you make a change to your hero, they spin and words such as "ZAP", "POOF" and "POW" appear over a cloud of dust(?) on top of your character. After that, you're a fully fledged superhero, woo!

Time to save the world! The fullest server is only half-way full so I guess i'll give that one a go (unless I crash). Since there are multiple servers, that makes me guess that there is quite a bit of a fanbase behind the game. You're taken into the game and it tells you how to get to other areas, but that's about it. You click the ground to walk, and there's a whole bunch of buttons around the border of the game that do different things, such as show you what superpowers you have unlocked.
Honestly, i'm a bit stuck for what you're actually meant to do. You're given missions that earn you experience to level up. The mission I have is a riddle, which was easy but even if I couldn't figure it out, you are given the answer underneath so the riddle is a waste of time. (shrugs)
Other things in the game include many mini games that are scattered amongst the different areas, and you have your own secret hideout that you can decorate but I think you may have to be a member to buy furniture. There seems to be quite a few restrictions for non-members which is a shame.
Apparently being a super hero, you have responsibilities such as watering flowers and picking up litter. It's a nice gesture to make children do chores but probably not the type of thing they're urging to do on a superhero game. It could probably be fun for some people if you actually get into it but it isn't for me.
